Major Events
Every weekend from May through September the valley is busy with club picnics, family reunions, and more.
There are a few weekends every year with significant state wide events happen.
Memorial Day
It's always a good idea to book early for Memorial Day as it is the biggest weekend of the year.
-
Auction- Great items from a few dollars to over a hundred dollars are actioned off every year.
There is something for everybody at this event; crafts, new items, some great bargins on used goods.
Individuals, Aerie's, Auxiliary's, and districts are encourgaed to bring good quality items for the auction.
The auction is perphaps the most important annual fundraiser and the best way brothers and sisters can support thier valley.
-
Craft Fair- This is a must attend event for both buyers and sellers. Every year there are an amazing variety of
impressive crafts for sale. All Eagle members are invited to bring items for sale. Although professional craft persons are not eligble,
goods for sale may be professionaly produced. Buyers get great bargians,
sellers get a great opportunity, and the valley gets a portion of the sales. Really, everbody wins. To reserve table space or get more
information contact Dawn Anderson at 253-584-2739.
-
Games- Horsehoes, volleyball, cards, "horse races", minuture golf, and more.
-
Eat- You won't go hungry over the weekend. A common first time observation is that "if I had known just about every meal
was provided at such a low cost, I never would have spent all this money bringing my own food".
-
Memorial Service- This is a tradtional memorial service to honor our military, not an Eagles memorial. Music, singing, peoms,
tributes, and prayers culminate in a moving flag ceremony. Most who have attended will tell you that this is one of the highlights of thier Eagles experience.
State Barbeque
Eagles come from all over the region to participate in this annual event. Held every
year on Saturday of the thrid weekend in August. The valley provides beef and corn
for a pot luck dinner. Everyone is asked to bring a dish for the pot luck.
Labor Day
Three days of fun (more avaible). Come early, stay late. A long weekend of games, food, and fun.
FunFest
If Eagle Valley was open in October, this might well be called Octoberfest. FunFest is valley talk for a great party a bit ealier in the year than in Germany. The games, food, events, and fun is much like State Barbeque or Labor Day.
